Ceasing the CIA World Factbook is another example of "1984"-level censorship. We used this valuable resource in the science info field. (BTW to the regime: Science is global, collaborative, and swiftly moving; current policy choices will result in the U.S. being left behind.)

When you see them drop their "masks" to expose their racism, it's disorienting, heartbreaking, and infuriating. Also, it reminds us of how vital our chosen family is to our happiness and well-being.

What made so many Americans lose their humanity? Individuals adrift from feeling commonality with all of humankind. Bush Admin response to 9/11: color-coded threat levels always elevated. Add militarization of local law enforcement via access to DOD surplus weaponry & training in military tactics.
