This is worth two minutes of your time to listen to, even if you don't need to be reminded of what it means to be a good, honorable person or how power and influence should be used.
Scott Galloway absolutely dismantles Elon Musk and his deranged sycophants here.

Yes—character matters.

Yes—technical innovation does not excuse moral bankruptcy.

Yes—we must choose better role models for our children.

I agree with every word.

Heres what I don't understand - if it were true that America was as terrible during the Biden administration as they say, wouldn't it be super easy to maintain that level of terrible? The "it'll get worse before it gets better" line doesn't work if things were already as bad as they claim they were.
Fox talking head Katie Pavlich: "This is a period of I would say a hangout from the Biden administration ... hangovers are tough for a lot of people, but ultimately you come out."

(Note how even the Fox host doesn't really buy it.)

Breaking Bad. I spent 1.5 seasons trying to understand why everyone loved it. I never did.
Which TV show that everyone was obsessed with do you just not understand the hype about and why is it Yellowstone or Game of Thrones?

As a historian and educator, I always do my best to connect the past to the present to help my students see how our modern world has been shaped and is still being influenced by the past. (🧵)

You guys need to see this and take it in…

Wise words from someone who is a target. And he’s been listening.

Hard to believe this guy has been in my life for a decade. Happy gotcha day, Rocky.

I was thinking, if Manfred’s “Golden AB” rule is imposed on #MLB, all pitching rules should go unenforced during that plate appearance. Spitball? Throw it! Got some gum? Use it! Let’s really go “all in” on the shenanigans!

Was just talking to some friends how much better this site is getting but that it could use more dog content. So here's me doing my part to make it happen. Meet Rocky. Likes: plush toys, walks, microfiber blankets, backyard rabbits, treats. Dislikes: his people leaving for even a few seconds.

I get a lot of time to work on my dissertation when I'm visiting my mom because she works a lot. But her dogs keep me company and oftentimes will sing me a song.

Til reviewer 3 in the museum world is the reviewer 2 of history. Demanded info unrelated to the grant, got weirdly personal by suggesting I wasn't fit for the project, no relevant feedback about the project itself. Is there a group of people all fields are required to pull from for these things?

If you ask someone today to name the builder of Hadrian's Wall, they would give you a funny look. But historical memory is odd, and right up to the 1800s we forgot who built it.

Until in 1840 John Hodgson, an obscure Northumbrian clergyman, published the LONGEST footnote in history... 1/22

Stayed home with these two yesterday after picking up a cold. They were happy to have a new napping partner and I'm sure they are secretly hoping I never recover. Wouldn't be a bad deal.

Opened the new curling season with a W, but had more fun introducing some new folks to the sport. I was fortunate to be welcomed in last year by some great people and want to pass that on.

Can someone explain why people enjoyed Yellowstone? I'm through seven episodes and I can't figure it out.

Thinking about the time I was reading The Organic Machine for field exams at my local brewery. A guy who I'm sure was Richard White came in. I didn't talk to him, not because I was nervous but because I didn't want to bother him. Convinced it happened to him all the time. He drank his beer in peace.
