Great recap Brian.. looking forward to your analysis for another season :)

Agree that part of Marty’s “it starts right now” mantra needs to apply to him too.. they need a PP1 with Dem

P.S. I’ll give Dach a pass on the 2nd goal.. Xhekaj falling & losing his man who then scores I put on Arber.

Good synopsis from fans are welcome after a Call Of The Wilde.

Can’t have any success here without you.

Excellent article, Brian.
Absolutely agree regarding Demidov.

All the skill in the world , won't help him score in the defensive end .

I thought newcomers Dobson and Bolduc looked solid .

Strong game from Slaf and Caulfield.

Matheson looked good as did Hutson.

But 2C must be addressed.

A lot to like from the Habs in the opening frame.

For many years, it’s been obvious in Toronto that Montreal was second best; that the play was mostly in front of their own goalie.

For 20 minutes, that was not the case. Good even period.

They’re asking an awful lot of Levshunov here. Don’t think he’s ready yet for this much responsibility.

Sometimes as an organization, you ask for your rebuild to be over before it’s ready to be over.
bwildemtl.bsky.social
Exactly. Because how did that go.

It will be about not running it back for a fifth year, more than any individual choice. It’s just not likely to run it back with a 95-96 win team underachieving yet again. Just doesn’t happen.

Something has to change. They simply can not and will not run it back for year 5.

Just watched Zharovsky highlights of his very successful start to the KHL season.

He’s got great hands. He has fantastic vision.

This could be a tremendous steal.

Wow. Like wow. That is an insane discount. That may be the most significant discount to win a cup in league history.

Connor McDavid returns to the Oilers on a huge discount! 🤯

Kapanen’s great work with Demidov and Newhook wins him the final forward spot. Veleno takes the 13th forward spot from the press box.

Beck, F. Xhekaj and Engstrom to Laval. Blais and Kakkonen will almost certainly clear waivers.

It all starts Wednesday in Toronto.

Am I excited to get going this season?

Why yes I am.

I just wrote my Wilde Cards for opening night’s Call Of The Wilde for Global TV.

Hope you’ll read along this season.

Thanks Tim. That was perfect.

Everyone is gonna expect fireworks so nothing will happen.

Word is that Demidov is alright after that cheap shot slash from Cousins.
