I’m v excited to share this one bc it was new info for me too! Canada’s larger by population, so Texas is more queer **by percentage** than Canada, despite the fact that they legalized gay marriage way earlier

Canada: 1.3m LGBTQ+ / 41 million total

I think it’s more of a function of Texas being the 2nd most populated state. But if it weren’t for the gerrymandering it probably would be a Blue state.
