about to employ some OLYMPIC level selective hearing for the next 4 years… turning down the volume while in a state of absolutely unhinged rebellion is such a feminine superpower.

While bizarre executive actions promised more CA water allotments for export commodities yesterday, I helped vest power of attorney for a fig and salad greens farm in an 18-year-old child in the case her parents get deported. They produce real delicious food sold locally. Truly entropic.

I’m being very moderate when I say pulling executive levers on California’s highly calibrated water system is ecoterrorism. Rural communities don’t have the flood protection in place for these vile games.

I’m here for migrants til lights-out. Yes, environmental justice is being dismantled, but the biggest deliverable here is breeding desensitization to cruelty against displaced people, a thing necessary for the conservative agenda of accelerating climate change.

3. I have fired Meta as a client. While I think they are on the right side in the generative AI copyright dispute in which I represented them, and I hope they win, I cannot in good conscience serve as their lawyer any longer 4/4

2. I will no longer buy anything from ads I see on Facebook or Instagram. Their algorithm has my number, and I have regularly purchased things they show me. But in the future, I will go separately to the website to make sure Facebook doesn't get any credit for the purchase 3/4

On reflection, I have decided to stay on Facebook. But I am doing the following three things:
1. I have deactivated my Threads account. Bluesky is an outstanding alternative to Twitter, and the last thing I need is to support a Twitter-like site run by a Musk wannabe 2/4

I have struggled with how to respond to Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook's descent into toxic masculinity and Neo-Nazi madness. While I have thought about quitting Facebook, I find great value in the connections and friends I have here, and it doesn't seem fair that I should lose that 1/4

Water is becoming a major issue in the Southern California fires.

As crews battled the wildfire in Pacific Palisades, they put so much strain on the water system that the fire hydrants ran dry.

The fires have also fed ash into the water supply, leading to a boil order notice.
