Okay I'm a full AI and @cursor.com.web.brid.gy convert due to the amazing planning mode. It's my 6th PR today and one of the things was creating an entire npm package from scratch (stay tuned for that). 🤯

This episode really got me struggling to take sides and also took me back to the old (better?) days of the Internet...
In episode 3 of Open Path, @chadwhitacre.com wrestles with DHH's statement to Lex Fridman that “There is no crisis!” in Open Source funding. Along the way he has to confront his own doubts if he's really going to grow @opensourcepledge.com. 🍿🤠

"Celebrate underrepresented groups in tech, but do not focus on their gender identity. Celebrate their achievements, use your privilege to lift them up, share their work, make their voice heard: not because they are not men, but because their work is worth celebrating." 💯
I have been back and forth over the span of 5 years about whether to publish this article.

All opinions and experiences in this post are my own, or from people I personally know, backed up with recent reports and statistics.
Why Women in Tech isn't enough
Women in Tech spaces help, but fall short in the long run. Real progress needs systemic change and active involvement from men in positions of power.

🎉 Big news! @muppet.dev is being acquired by @sentry.io!

I'm thrilled to be joining Sentry - their vision aligns perfectly with what I've been building with Muppet, and together we can achieve our goals much faster 🚀

I feel like we're kind of back in the dark days of the Internet again. X/Twitter seems mostly dead maybe unless you're paying. BlueSky didn't get enough traction and became another political war zone and I don't think Google surfaces my articles at all.

How do y'all reach people nowadays?

It's shocking how much time you can save off of builds by just using async, multi-thread/multi-process, and some very naive caching even in 2025.

Especially so when we already have things like Ucacher: earthly.dev/blog/ucacher/

1. Couple of months ago, we started to look for a new member on @sentry.io's Special Projects Eng team and today Miguel "bete" Betegon (betegon.com) started. His energy is infectious, I can't wait to see the things we'll be building together!
