Thank you for the arts, I enjoyed looking at them. :)

Char Aznable is *absolutely* a prank played on the entire Gundam fanbase

As a kid I imagined that 3D models were solid, and wondered what you would see if you could remove the surface. IIRC it was Ocarina of Time where I realized that they were just a thin skin, because the camera could get pushed inside of objects/Link.

It's such a bafflingly terrible decision

Dang, nice work! My only thought was to try using the orange fire for the breath weapon instead of blue, but what you have looks great!

Damn. This is amazing. £325 per week, paid monthly, for 3 years - and the result was a profit for the Irish economy:

Post from Threads user rodneyowl: "Ireland has declared the Basic Income for Artists scheme permanent. This will be officially announced in tomorrow’s budget. Details to follow. Congratulations to all who fought for it and the present and future artists of all sorts in Ireland. That includes me 👌We’re just comin to the end of a 3 year pilot scheme. It’s been a roaring success. For every €1 paid out to the 2000 participants, the government got €1.46 back. Can’t argue with that. Other countries are already taking note."

Galaxy 2 stripped the hub world way down, but that means less downtime between levels, and the actual levels are much more gameplay-focused, as opposed to the sometimes-gimmicky Mario 1 levels (looking at you, Bee/Spring/Drill Suits). They're both miles better than Sunshine.

salt and umami, yeah makes sense. You could probably get a similar effect by just adding table salt and MSG.

What kind of effect are you looking for?

Scrap is done. It's collected the same way as the fishies.
For added fun, you can kick them around like running through dry leaves.

(I'm pretty happy with myself for mixing coin sounds into their folly.)

Oh I have not even posted the most memeable of them!!!

This one‘s face made me laugh so hard that I scared off half the heard from the apples I was feeding them
Photo of a few deer, one of them looking very interestedly at the camera Close up foto of the face of a dark brown deer, it‘s staring upwards very intensely

The "Robo Bun" relic summons an adorable bunny robot at the start of each fight. It runs around distracting the enemies, reducing their damage output. You are not immune! #indiedev #indiegame

Wikipedia estimates the forces involved as:
- Fascists: 2000-5000
- Police (there to protect the fascists): 6000-7000
- Anti-fascist counter-demonstrators: 100,000-300,000

#OtD 4 Oct 1936 the Battle of Cable St took place when Oswald Mosley's British Union of Fascists tried to march through East London. They were met by over 100k local workers who fought the blackshirts and the police protecting them, stopping the march workingclasshistory.com/2020/02/17/e...

(this is an oversimplification, and I gather that there are fancy techniques you can do with multiple lenses to get better zoom results; I haven't been paying close attention to optics developments for quite some time)
byobattleship.bsky.social
I don't think that's AI enhancement, but it *is* software-based sharpening, which is a much older technique. Phone cameras are very flat and thus can't really zoom much at all, so most "zoom levels" are just cropping the image and then sharpening it.

Knowing and understanding your emotions is really damn important. If you haven't figured that out yet, make it a priority.

Those who are 35+, what advice do you have for people just entering their 30s?

It is perfectly valid to make a game that is designed for a particular aspect ratio. It's nice if the game gracefully deals with that aspect ratio not matching the monitor's aspect ratio (e.g. by adding black pillars). It's not required that big monitor = more viewable game.
