The baker's dozen parker house rolls from Wayside in Montpelier VT...

I'm sorry this is not helpful Google "AI" when I'm looking at a (quite good) diner's entry to check their holiday hours. (Even if it's true.)

Ah, Vermont in November.

Apparently Rocklands on S. Quaker also has them...

That's very neat. I waited in a line at a co-op in Montpelier 10 years ago to get a flat of it when it was on its upward rise and not really anywhere outside of VT.

It's weird to me that to get any sort of acceptable picture of the Moon you have to go like full manual on a pixel phone. It used to work pretty well? Sigh everything. (Happy 99.6% Beaver Moon.)

Huh, I had missed that Philadelphia Cheesesteak Factory on Duke St closed and the building is for sale. I remember visiting their original(?) Georgetown location back in the 00s before thy opened the Duke St one and then closed the Gtown one? It stayed decent but not amazing. A bit sad.

I came across a couple of newspaper letters complaining about "Calvin and Hobbes" in its early years (1985 and 1988, respectfully). The first one makes a Tip O'Neill joke and the second one is next to a letter complaining about a lack of safety and "vulgarity" at a Whitesnake concert! :)

Inspired by @josephfray.bsky.social, I think I'll occasionally listen to album released on this day. Today I picked "Ocean to Ocean" by Tori Amos, on this day in 2021. Despite being a big Tori fan in the 90s and 00s, I drifted away and never listened to it before.

Huh. Dagwood apparently was left behind at the Louvre heist...

I love this street view pic (have also often gone through when it's like this).

This is just fundamentally broken (and I've seen similar things from Apple). Like how can some a place (a walled gardened app store) justify ever showing an ad for an app, with an intentionally similar icon, with just a million installs over _WhatsApp_ when someone exactly searched for WhatsApp.

This map isn't a great projection (I think it's Miller cylindrical projection, which is a modified Mercator) but it has one of the better ways of indicating the islands in the Caribbean that I've seen.

Yeah. Lots of frogs, fish, tadpoles, snails, turtles, some snakes and assorted others. Wasn't there super long and wasn't prioritizing trying snap pics of them :)

Sounds like a way to say a "clear and present danger" but avoiding drawing attention to the novel/movie about doing the illegal thing.
