Pretty sure this is season 1 filmed on film. So they probably rescanned some negative without the VFX to get the 4k version and missed redoing the VFX work on this shot. youtu.be/qvRHzvoCf_s?...

I've also seen some suggestions from models fine-tuned for programming, the humans doing the tuning overemphasized things they thought looked more professional/whatever, so that may be happening here too.
