We’ve issued a statement with @fphuk.bsky.social, @rsph.bsky.social ‬and Scottish Directors of Public Health, highlighting the urgent need to address child poverty in the UK.

It calls for an ambitious UK-wide strategy with prevention as a key focus 🔽

The UK currently has the worst paternity leave offer in Europe.

Our latest modelling showed that increasing statutory paternity leave to six weeks at 90 per cent of pay could boost the UK economy per year by £2.6bn in the near term. 📈

Several mainstream public health experts are normalizing Trump's dangerous health picks in the media in naive hope that they can limit the damage by finding common ground. This is an example of obeying in advance. Rather than reducing harm, it legitimizes deadly policies and paves the way for worse.
