教えてくれてありがとう!地図で検索して見たら、去年仙台にいた時に入口を気付かずに通り過ぎた(午前だからね)

梅田や新宿で似たような所もあるけど、比べるとこちの方がかなり清潔さを感じてますわ!

Ps: lots of fics seem to want to give the emperor a go with his minister’s younger self. I can see the temptation. After all, he died barely a handful of years older than the age at which his minister first met his precocious child self.

Frankly I love all of them, but hey look at this one! archiveofourown.org/works/48729046 the one who commands and the one who serves, to become the ultimate duo to rule and unite the empire, they must put their roles ahead of their selves, and who more suited to teach them each that lesson?

And then of course we will think about lord Cao of the warring kingdoms who is famous not for being particular about whether the man (or woman) is older or younger, but for swaying them (and ideally winning them) over to him from the other side. (Cues our steadfastly noble Guan Yu).

The writer delightfully tabulates and concludes that the short-lived Qin kings (and one emperor) all favor older men who (except one) unfailingly outlive them, while on the other hand, Han emperors (of course Liu Che & his fierce little stray Wei Qing comes to mind) favor handpicking younger men.

For くけ、long time ago my grandmother taught me the method for finishing the edge when I cut short my school uniform skirt ;) for kimono there is more variety in technique.

Today I learn a new thing too. I didn’t know the term まつる before. Thank you for sharing!

I skimmed the drama - it has shoved the unsavory aspects of traditional opera’s history and social hierarchy struggles in the midst of upheavals in that era largely under the carpet, which I recognize is necessary to pass censorship, but that leaves a frivolous, rose-tinted story without gravity.

You are right I have not thought about this!
Maybe 縫うis when the seam is functional? It needs to connect two pieces of cloth. くけるis more for finishing. Eg. to hide the excess/ open ends of the cloth, or pin additional layer onto the main body of the kimono…?

It DID recover gosh I have not pulled an all-nighter to finish a novel for a long while now. And I will call it a novel the way it wrapped up. Fantastic pacing after we get past the meandering and hit chapter 100 (there’s 131 in total). Saw that this took 7 yrs to write. Legit it is a novel proper.

I was saying this writing is tight and sharp but alas around Chpt 30 or so the writing suddenly starts to loosen and the plot starts to meander… well such is the fate of internet serials….i reckon it will recover since the whole thing made it to a tv drama adaptation?

The novel is good but I can understand why it might not be so popular with the current mainstream danmei readership in china.
But that’s fine man, that’s fine, cuz like what they like to say in Chinese social media, us older folks are only busy with life offline, we’re not dead.

Took a peek at the novel. Friends, Danmei fans, pls pls skip to the novel. The writing is knife-edge sharp tipped with a poisoned barb. The pace is brisk and I foresee it will have all the lovely dark undertones that the writer picked out for censorship in the adaptation.

I will have 3 days in Sendai and I am also going to give 2 days to Ishinomaki coastal area. I visited once not long after the tsunami, and google shows me that the restaurant I ate at is doing well, and the whole town, as told to me then, is now completed and thriving. So looking forward :)
