My ongoing request:

If your NSF or NIH grant was terminated--whether at Harvard or elsewhere--please report it here.

NSF: grant-watch.us/submit-nsf.h...

NIH: grant-watch.us/submit-nih.h...

Our trackers are actively used in lawsuits and are often the only record that terminations ever occurred.
dangaristo.bsky.social
NSF appears to be terminating hundreds of its grants to Harvard, per internal sources at NSF and at Harvard. At least one division has had all its grants cut.

It is difficult to find joy in our work when science is under attack. Today I led a professional learning session for math teachers based on my research w/ @elenamsilla.bsky.social. I also presented stellar grad students (including @sarcler.bsky.social) w/awards for their research. Joy unlocked 🤩

Grateful to share that my very first, first-authored manuscript has been published! Thanks to my advisors & community❤️It feels surreal to have added a very small piece to the field that I care about so much. Check out my highlights and read more about it here:

I typically teach our doctoral level intro stat course and use exams. This semester I replaced exams with research proposals - data analytic plans & r-scripts included. These are infinitely more fun to grade. New personal rule: don’t assign anything that’s annoying to grade. Ever.

Now it's nearly 270 university presidents who have signed onto this "unprecedented government overreach" public letter. It was less than 180 this morning.
