She was previously a partner at General Catalyst, where she co-led the firm's seed practice and invested in the inception rounds of defense technology companies including Anduril Industries and Vannevar Labs. Prior to General Catalyst, she was a general assignment reporter at The Washington Post. Katherine holds a BA in Government from Georgetown University, an MBA from Stanford and a Masters of Public Advocacy from the National University of Ireland, Galway.

For Musk to receive his full compensation reward, Tesla's market capitalization must be raised from $1.5 trillion as of Thursday to $8.5 trillion within 10 years, as well as other goals, which include selling 12 million more cars, 10 million autonomous driving subscriptions, operating 1 million Robotaxis and selling 1 million Tesla Bots, among others.

Starship is a complete boondoggle as a HLS for the Moon. SpaceX owes NASA $2.6 billion and Elon Musk belongs in prison.
Still, Starship HLS has already fallen behind NASA's original schedule. In July, Lori Glaze, NASA's acting associate administrator for exploration systems development, said agency officials had expected SpaceX to demonstrate an in- orbit propellant transfer this year, according to Spaceflight Now. Artemis 3 cannot launch until this milestone is met.

Looking back, I have several regrets. We now know that Iraq no longer had any unconventional weapons program. Over the years, this has come to be seen as retrospectively obvious. It was not. While the Bush administration deliberately twisted and overhyped evidence of weapons of mass destruction, the legitimate evidence did show, albeit less dramatically than the administration said, that Iraq had active unconventional weapons programs. This was the judgment of fellow Western intelligence agencies. It was also a logical inference from Saddam Hussein's refusal to fully comply with U.N. demands even after threatened with invasion. (That Iraq refused full compliance was documented at the time by Hans Blix, Butler's successor, but this has largely been brushed aside in the retrospective critique.) • •

Here's the closing paragraph from a four star Amazon review, posted in June, 2000.
I highly recommend Borsook's book, but I sense that she is too pessimistic. There is definitely a tendency for the high-tech elite to surrender to the sin of pride, but I do not see the situation as hopeless. I suspect that the recent drop in many Wall Street technology stocks has been a wake up call. A more mature adult attitude may be evolving. If so, Paulina Borsook, should be congratulated for her valuable contribution to this long ignored and necessary discussion.
