Interesting to me is even a decade ago something like MAN OF STEEL had at least some raised eyebrows asking if the 9/11 riffing was exploitative. That fans insist here Israel's Genocide is being addressed speaks to an engineered poverty in political imagination.

1/ I personally don't buy the Capitalist Realism argument that left wing messaging in corporate media diffuses revolutionary potential. Anyone satisfied with seeing someone else take care of the world's problems likely wasn't going to join the struggle of their own accord anyway.
