i hate how difficult it's becoming to tell if images are ai or not sometimes, so im going to have to start primarily going by the heuristic of wheter or not the message conveyed by an image is one the state of israel is trying to push or not

"Democratic Lawmakers Urge Troops Not to Follow Unlawful Orders" would hit a lot harder if the lawful orders weren't to go kill poor people in *other* countries.

Great review in which many of the reasons I love Ben Sears’ work are better articulated than I could have attempted.

He’s a singular cartoonist who makes me think of greats in other fields like animation and picture book illustration, but is also unmistakably Comics.

This post probably won't excite many folks here, but I just pulled the trigger on a Digitakt 2. My original Digitakt has served as the centerpiece of my mobile workstation for years now, so I'm sad to see him go, but happy to be introduced to his replacement.

Making Anarky a *boss* fight in Arkham Origins seems rather counter-philosophical.

Superman, Spider-Man, and Iron Man all walk into a Starbucks. The barista spells their names correctly because the union won a living wage.

In conditions which are conducive to plant growth to begin with ((i.e. not the desert), solar farms are associated with greater overall growth and higher biodiversity. There's lots of research on this.

The moment I knew I was a crazy person was when I saw someone complaining about having to edit two separate tracks on their podcast while I was taking a break from editing the 64 tracks that comprise the first five minutes of season three...

"Nobody believes Mamdani can actually do anything."

The folks voting for him sure do! And that's our opportunity to broaden their imaginations around how life could really be through socialism!

He fails, we talk about real radical alternatives. He succeeds, we demand even more.

On top of every other crime it commits, the King/Gerads Mister Miracle book forced me to endure the sweaty nerds in line ahead of me drooling over how much of Big Barda's body "you get to see in it."

Many things can never be forgiven.

Anyone who scoffs at the idea of the academic study of superhero comics is both woefully under informed and absolutely correct at the same time.

Currently 2/3rds of the way though this and it’s really great. Really well researched and informative, on top of being a fun listen.
I said I wasn't going to do one. Then I did one that's longer than the movie.

Please enjoy the review of Superman (2025). Get it wherever fine podcasts are sold.
