I could write a book about this sentence. But suffice it to say that what is described as a “normal” pattern is not some immutable law of economics—it’s a collective choice of living under capitalism.

The President promised prices would go back down. In a healthy economy, they almost never do. The normal pattern is: prices jump, then over time your paycheck catches up. The pain comes when wages don't follow—then it's not “inflation” so much as an affordability crisis.
