Foreign-born American here, it's never been a secret we will always have to give 110% compared to our more established countrymen.
I would love to live in a world where the moral argument for immigration is enough. Sadly, that is not the case, so the economic argument will have to do.

After the 2020 election, we thought things were back to normal and could afford to dump electorally popular but flawed politicians. We have been cured of that notion. At this point I would happily take a 51% win for a bastard that will advance the platform over a loss for a saint.
