One more heartbroken idealist. Providing takes takes on geopolitics, economics, and culture that are both unqualified and un-qualified.
Moving to the states so young, it probably didnt hurt as much as it should have when my extended family became faces on screens. Wasn't prepared for how much it hurts when the screens go dark.

I fully support the legalization of cannabis as well as the establishment of its international trade. This is because I have a sneaking suspicion that US based growers would dominate the market, and I want to watch the EU have to debate weed protectionism with a straight face.

My Geopolitical hot take: The nord stream pipeline sabotage was unfathomably based. If my CIA tax dollars aren't being used to "persuade" hesitant allies not to directly fund the military that will one day be used against them, I want a refund.

Hey Boss! The Epstein shutdown isn't going away, what do we do!?!?

Dont worry, I have binders full of concepts of a plan

Re: The epstein records

I suppose I should be thankful this administration got lazy and went with "Blatantly Obvious coverup" rather than simply delaying and distracting in perpetuity.

Wrapped up andor over the weekend.

Because I can't resist a simile, I imagine it felt like watching Casablanca in 1942.

"Things are going to get worse before they get better, but they will get better." is a message I think a lot of folks have needed to hear lately.

One of the most frustrating things about 45s states foreign policy goals is that I agree with most of them:

1. China must be deterred from invading Taiwan
2. Europe should invest in the capacity to lead its own defense

But he's fucked them so badly that even his successes are phyrric.

"I'll end the war in 24 hours." So far 45s score sits at -1/1

Took a break from modern uncertainty to harken back to a simpler, more wholesome time:

Iraq, 2006

Anyways, "Warfare" was 10/10 in my book.

When goods cross borders, armies don't.

In coming years, Trumps body blow to international trade will be recognized as the catalyst to a new generation of conflicts around the globe.

The choice between risking a shutdown or giving 47 more legal power to escalate his trade wars is not a difficult one.

The house resolution is completely unacceptable. If the Republicans are so desperate to keep the government open, they can negotiate like grown ups are supposed to do.

I gotta come clean: I mixed up monkey paws and rabbits' feet when I wished for further EU integration

Well, good news for everyone who claimed free trade and the rules based world order were a plot against the global poor.

They both died this week, and you're not going to like what comes next.
