For those with students already in college - especially STEM majors - have current events impacted your student?

Meet 11-year-old Jocelynn Rojo Carranza, a young girl from Texas whose life was tragically cut short.

She died by suicide after classmates threatened to call ICE on her family.

Stop dehumanizing immigrants.

That is not America.

Remember how we were embarrassed to be Americans back in 2016?

So grateful to have a teenager around as a single source of truth. Otherwise how would I ever know how lame I am?

Lecturing all who’ll listen on the intricacies of internal pluralization this week. Attorneys General. Brothers-in-law. Personae non gratae….oh wait. That’s me….

I read half a book this week. I’m amazed.

Reading right now feels like trying to concentrate on embroidery, while sitting on a shifting tectonic plate, as a horde of screaming banshees chucks needles at you.

Ok, New Hampshire and Maine. Raise your hand if you knew it was an #earthquake but still ran around to make sure it wasn't actually a tree falling on the roof. #newengland

Last night, my 17 yo saw me doing dishes. Without a word, came up beside me and started scrubbing a pan. I got a little misty-eyed. He responded "Does it make up for when I was 13 to 15?" #parenting #teens

My good friend's special needs grandson started bringing his US birth certificate in his backpack today. ICE is hanging around his school. He wouldn't be able to explain that his dark skin and accent don't make him illegal.
