I have postcard rounds at the ready! Speak now or forever hold your peace if there are coordinate changes I need to be aware of

@padilla.senate.gov I need you to get to the floor to support and stand with @booker.senate.gov, Senator. Obstruct, delay... get in the fight with him

@schiff.senate.gov I need you on the floor with Senator Booker, in support and prepared to step in when he must sit.

Fair winds, and following seas, sir.

I've been delighted, to no end, to be included in a multi-year, postcard war campaign. The postman was conscripted, and has enjoyed the return fires; today, after his trip home, this was included in my mail drop.

The great postcard war of 2024 went largely undocumented, though OVERWHELMINGLY appreciated... just that kind of year. But a couple fantastic rounds have come through in the last month, from @fff182.bsky.social & @doctrinatrix.bsky.social

I've missed y'all. <3

I'm technically swapping the annual time change fuckery for jetlag, but that's not stopped me from feeling very smug about missing it.

Physically could not lift myself off the mat with this workout. If you need me, I'll be over there, pining for the fjords.

The crows being excited that I've come home just never gets old

I (almost never in the office) beat my boss (routinely in the office) to work today which means I have also already sent him a picture of his empty desk, a sad face, and asked him why he never calls, never writes. Can't wait to see how my year-end review goes. 😁

And now I have Odin, to go along with my murder. Thanks, @fff182.bsky.social!

Non bird app, please meet my birds. The murder grows.

Doesn't get any better
Last night, just before Karen Kamensek led the LA Phil in a blistering perf of The Planets, the International Space Station flew overhead at the Hollywood Bowl. 250 miles up, traveling 17,500 mph, orbiting every 90 minutes, and there it was…instantly one of my favorites moments at this iconic venue.

At that point in social media transition where I don't know to whom I've told what, but I need at least one platform to know it's been 5 hours since I met with my trainer and I am still comprised entirely of jello

Someone-not naming any names-did not remember to throw their workout clothes in the dryer on their lunch break like they promised themselves they would. Again, not naming any names.

Me: My tomato plants are taller than I am!!!

T: Honey, MOST things are taller than you are, thats not really a benchmark.

My friends are rude. Not wrong, just rude.

Someone tried to feed my murder pepitas today. Did you know a crow can pull a distinctly unamused face? Yeah, neither did I, until today. Don't worry, amends were made.

The fun part about tropical storm watch living by an airport is playing the "thunder or jet noise" game

5.0 & 2.5 ground rumbles have entered the chat.
We're more ground rumble people than sky rumble people.
For those not in LA, yes, there is a hurricane headed our way. It’s all any of us are talking about. 🌀

It’s been 23 years since the last Dodgers game was rained out. There have only been 17 rainouts since Dodger Stadium opened in 1962. Only two have occurred during the month of August. ⛈️🏟️
