UK median wage, £29,628. Net pay, £24,852; barely enough to survive.

Top 1% have more wealth than 70% of the population combined. Bottom 50% less than 5%.

Can't revive economy without boosting purchasing power of the bottom 50%.

Workers need higher share of GDP. Progressive taxation.

US joins the group of rogue nations and basket cases that usually vote against UN resolutions in support of democratic Ukraine. Even authoritarian China abstained. Amazing how far the US has fallen under just a couple of months of Trump 2.0.

Oh, look. Brexit just cost us another £370,000,000!

(The Trader Support Service system is only required because it's now MUCH harder to trade goods back and forth between GB and NI. It owes its existence exclusively to Brexit.)

Barclays CEO pay up from £4.3m to £10.5m.

Real average pay of UK workers unchanged since 2008.

Govts tell workers pay rises are inflationary, but that doesn't apply to exec pay, dividends, exec pay, share buybacks.

Their profiteering is our inflation and poverty.

It is class war.

I literally can’t believe that we’re hearing the case being made for austerity again.

After it destroyed growth, destroyed communities, trashed public services & gave us all this far right backlash to deal with.

These smug rich men still saying Reeves should make the case for more cuts🤦‍♀️ #r4today

A superb letter to the Question Time production team. We will look back and realise, far too late, just how dangerous the bias was.
With Nigel Farage back on Question Time and with around 300,000 reads in over 144 countries but still with no response from Question Time

Here's @docrussjackson.bsky.social's open letter to the BBC about widely held concerns about why bias on #bbcqt is not going away
