I hate that the thanks for donating to a Democratic candidate is having my phone number sold on a list to a hundred other campaigns, all of whom send me passive-aggressive texts asking for my donation, often weirdly attempting a guilt trip, as though I knew them. I really don’t like that.

You gotta know, VA needs some cleaning up. It is not an either/or proposition though. VA needs a thoughtful and real revamp of their benefits system, and a lot of vets would agree on this.
The Economist ran this story this week. Yes...they are coming for veterans benefits. No one voted to destroy the VA or the benefits that our 15 million living veterans receive. Just 6% of Americans have served and these fuckers are coming for our hard earned benefits.

You gotta know, VA needs some cleaning up. It is not an either/or proposition though. VA needs a thoughtful and real revamp of their benefits system, and a lot of vets would agree on this.
Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is one of the newest federal agencies and definitely needs some work, but should not be eliminated. We need more them to be more effective.
