I released The White Owl a year ago today and I'm still very proud of it. It's guided a lot of my creative work ever since, and it's nice to have a project out there I'm not constantly second guessing and trying to improve upon.
I would like to revisit it, fix some stuff up, and get it on Steam tho

Good afternoon. I can't stop thinking about the Pigeon from Friends vs. Friends.

The #1 purchase was sniped from me. I'm crying and screaming and shitting and pissing. Now nobody will believe that I'm anything more than GVH's second-biggest fan

Today I'm releasing MonoMesh, the shader stack I used to develop The White Owl. I want to see more game developers making games that look like mine, and this feels like a good start.
There's still some cleanup to be done on it, but it should be usable as is!

Elin is easily the game of the year. Especially when your name is in the game as livestock

Been trying to collect these Final Fantasy busts for years now, waiting for them to show up at a reasonable price. Finally got them all.

Today I saw a YouTube Short of the Key and Peele alien invasion sketch and the top comment was this. What the hell is going on

Saw Madame Web. Genuinely the funniest superhero film I've seen since Daredevil. Highly recommend if you want a laugh-a-minute comedy with some of the most insane decisions you've ever seen. Remember to take in a refreshing ice-cold Pepsi to crush your thirst to death
I rate it an S out of 10

Finished Road 96. Obviously held back by its budget (VA, animation), but the boldness of what it tried to do within that budget was impressive and it really worked at times. Very sold on the idea of "narrative roguelite with imsimmy setpieces" and wish it took that idea a bit further. Enjoyed it!

Watched all 3 Lord of the Rings films. Got a bit jaded on this whole franchise seeing how mismanaged it's been for the longest time, but revisiting them for the first time since I was a kid absolutely blew me away. They're like 100 times better than I remember them being, even when I loved them

Finished The Gnorp Apologue. I don't normally fuck with clickers or idle games, but this one had enough strategy and roguelite elements paired with flashy visual effects to keep me playing through til the end.

Finished the beautifully titled "Final Fantasy 7: Remake Intergrade: Episode INTERmission". A perfect palate cleanser after FF16, pure entertainment start to finish. You really cannot argue any single character was better in FF7 than in FF7R; as amazing a job done with Yuffie as the rest of the gang

Look here's the thing. Final Fantasy 16 would need an entire essay to detail my thoughts on it. The highs are high, but the lows are far more consistent and much much lower. Rather than posting a skeet thread, I made a graph on my enjoyment out of 10 and I will write a full blog post on it one day.

I finished Path of Achra on my first run. Probably the first time I've ever done that in a Roguelike but it was bound to happen eventually.
Fantastic game, with interesting "room to room" Roguelike systems, with flashy combat, and some nice unintrusive metaprogression.

Incredible and thoughtful puzzle design. Godawful combat and boss fights seemingly an afterthought. The Dark Souls clashes hard with the Zelda. Would've been much better if it was just a puzzle game really.
Final puzzle for the good ending was insanely rewarding and justified the whole experience
