As Amiibos get more and more expensive they need to offer better in game rewards to justify the price, but no one wants a piece of a game chopped out and held hostage behind an action figure. As someone who really likes Amiibos I've gotta admit they probably shouldn't exist.

Just finished Dragon Quest 1 HD-2D Remake. The most astonishing thing they were able to accomplish was making the combat so engaging while not giving the hero a party. The new story additions are great, it looks beautiful, and the orchestrated score is incredible. Immediately starting DQ2 now!
