I need to replace this clamp widget (the lamp is still fine), but would prefer to replace it with a heavy base like the other one here. Lowe's, maybe?
The two share a post size, conveniently. I didn't like the desk-edge-clamp approach much, and now that clamp is good and broked. It's been hanging on for months and I've tried not to touch it much. This more or less lookalike has a very heavy base, solid, with a lock bolt to keep the lamp peg in.

Quartered and cored apples in the bottom of a shiny Instapot, dusted with spices and salt, drizzled with a couple tablespoons honey. Sad apple skins after cooking. No point cutting them fine if you have a stick blender. I love my stick blender. Pureed applesauce in a matte black porcelain bowl, bottles of Rose Water and Pure Vanilla behind it. Nam Dae Mun had this bottle of rosewater for a couple bucks.

I had a tray of chicken thighs that needed using up, so today involved a great deal of kitchening. Results: Chicken thareed and an absolutely massive pot of jollof. Both lovely.

Comfort food on the first semi-cool day of autumn: rumbledethumps.

Mashed potatoes mixed with cooked cabbage and onion, topped with cheddar and baked. I used equal parts potato to cabbage, with garlic powder, black pepper, and shallots.

Could've roasted a few more minutes, but I was hungry.

Usually I work from recipes but I had homemade chicken stock and got all experimental with it. Ginger and lemon pepper and miso and onions and carrots and a bit of tarragon and white pepper and garlic powder and a splash of lemon juice and rice vinegar. Not half bad! Making rice to go in it.
