Digital painting of Necro hugging Effie, both Street Fighter III characters.
Necro is a tall, pale, muscular and bald man with weirdly long arms and nose. He wears purple pants with suspenders and boots, no shirt. He has spiral red tattoos on his face and shoulders. He wears a metal collar too.
Effie is a small pale woman. She is similarly pale. Her hair is blonde with two ponytails. She wears a red collar and heavy dark make up.
The hug between the 2 is framed so it looks like they are restrained inside a box. Necro takes most of the frame, surrounding Effie and covering her in his shadow.
On top of the picture, in bold white letters, it reads "Fully Rendered Character Commissions" Digital painting of a devil woman smoking in what appears to be hell. She is a greenish gray color and apears to be naked, but she doesn't have nipples or genitals. She has makings on her skin instead. The devil has big thick horns. Some cloth is bandaged around her head, covering much of her face. She wears some jewlery on top of her forehead and chest. The cigar she holds produces a funky purple smoke that creates round shapes as it goes up. Past her there's a vaguely hellish background with some figures in suggestive poses.

There's text on top of the image. It reads the following.
Starting price: 125 USD per character.
NSFW, fetish art, gore, mechas and furry art are welcomed! Digital painting depicting Elena sitting on top of Akuma's shoulders. Both are Street Fighter 6 characters.
Elena is a fit, very tall and lean young woman with white medium length hair. She wears a white top that covers only her breasts, hoop earrings, golden bracelets and white pants.
Akuma is a very short, very muscular and extraordinarily wrinkled old man with red eyes. His white beard and hair are past overgrown, but there's the attempt to wrap both in a bun. He seems to be wearing a variety of animal pelts and a collar made out of big black balls.
Elena sits on top of Akuma's shoulders with both hands on his back and legs wrapped around his head. She smiles at an off screen sunset while Akuma faces away, pretending to not be interested but giving the sun a side look.
Behind Elena's head there's a glowing halo like the ones seen in religious depictions of christian characters who have achieved divinity.

The text on top of the image reads "Requests via the VGen link in my bio"

Old repaint of thief from Capcom's D&D Shadow over Mystara. Was initially a doodle on a post-it note.

THAT'S EXACTLY IT
NO JOKE
LEAVE THE BOXES AND START ROTATING THOSE HIPS
hoodrattanak.bsky.social
you know those rotating boxes you draw for practice? well think of each one as a booty cheek. you’re welcome

The one very basic thing I wish people would teach beginner artists more often is that perspective is not a thing you apply only to drawing buildings. You can apply it to all your "character in white background" art and it's gonna make the drawing very cool, no matter how boring the pose is.

You want to draw a character? Ask yourself where you are as a viewer in relation to them.
That's how you learn perspective without being into architecture.

(of course there are a billion other things to keep in mind, but the point stands that perspective should be introduced early)

When people talk about figure drawing they call it "structure" or "anatomy", but for real it's just being in control of the horizon line and its vanishing points.
The horizon line itself can be simply viewed as "the height of the camera".

I was hoping for it to be some animation demo for an in-house movie studio, but you're totally right.

Once I read a review of the game Mouthwashing that went like "If Silent Hill 2 came out today the word MURDERER would flash on the screen every time James mentioned his wife" and I can't stop thinking about it since. Especially after playing Silent Hill f.
calligiovanini.bsky.social
That doesn't happen in the game and also there are plenty of anime and japanese media where that doesn't happen.
Again, not what my thread is about.
calligiovanini.bsky.social
Now that's just you being racist against japanese media because there's no schoolgirl fetish in this game. That's not what this post is about.

I want to debate why so much of the run time is dedicated to showing hateful women while Hinako's abusive dad is there for what feels like one hour total.

I DON'T WANT TO DEBATE IF WOMEN SHOULD EXIST OR IF COMBAT IN A HORROR GAME SHOULD ALWAYS FEEL GOOD
calligiovanini.bsky.social
I want to debate on its shallow and frankly offensive manner in which the game portrays mental illness and drug use.
I want to debate on the possible veiled racism in the portrayal of Shu's character and Chinese medicine.
calligiovanini.bsky.social
For example, I believe Silent Hill F to be a bad and perhaps even harmful representation of the feminist topics it's trying to touch upon.
But instead of debating on how to write on the female experience in 2025, we are still debating if games should have women in them.

The thing about letting the worst people on the internet control the discourse is that it stops us from expanding the discourse into more complex ideas.

The far right won the culture war. You all meme and talk like right wingers. Everything has become a matter of optics while minorities bleed on the streets.

This is a video of a man running for his life. He could've been put in a concentration camp.
Why are you people making memes out of this??

WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?!

I can't even get excited for new characters really.
C. Viper looks my type, but then I remembered I have to buy fake coins that do not properly cover the character's cost to force me to buy more than I need.
I feel like shit. The game is made to make you feel bad.
Now I also can't watch SF6. Great.
calligiovanini.bsky.social
I see people getting into fighting games all the time just because they had fun watching a tournament.
Hell, I GOT INTO FIGHTING GAMES BECAUSE OF THE DAIGO PARRY

But you can't explain long term investments to executives. They want money now.
calligiovanini.bsky.social
I play SF6 religiously, but I'm not remotely interested in this.
Aren't these kinds of events made to promote the games and grow a community around them?

I really should just go back to Fightcade.
calligiovanini.bsky.social
I still like that they framed it as a coming out story even though she's not coming out from shit from a sociological standpoint.

Hornet is too polite to correct Shakra right away, but she'll show her who's the child in bed.... wait no that didn't sound right
