So…there’s a lot of downtime in the office. Let me do something constructive to pass the time.

How about a 🧵 of all the guest voices on The Simpsons:
Fuck it, let’s just buy some subs and hurl them at Senate Democrats.

10, 20, 30% is not a reasonable chance. It’s the same as 0% with these Republican assholes, you feckless cunts.

Angus King: "This initial strategy didn't work. And now we have one. We're gonna have a guaranteed vote on the ACA, and it may not succeed. I grant that. But a reasonable chance -- 10, 20, 30% -- is a lot better than 0% which is where we were."

A reminder - last March, republicans promised to restore $1.1B in funding to DC in exchange for funding the government, and Mike Johnson never took it up in the House.

If Republicans want to talk about long-term fixes to ACA affordability, Democrats are ready.

But in the meantime, doing nothing is derelict. People will go bankrupt, people will lose insurance, and people will get sicker.

Republicans cannot continue doing nothing.

BREAKING: DOJ goes to SCOTUS trying to stop a district court order that USDA pay out full SNAP benefits this month.

The First Circuit denied an administrative stay, but has not yet ruled on the stay request. And, CNN reported that USDA is already processing payments.

DOJ went to SCOTUS anyway.

Independent media should showcase those Trump voters who are on SNAP. I want them to say over and over again that they didn’t vote for this.
November 8, 2025 at 1:01 AM
Trump and Republicans will continue their pursuit of starving Americans who rely on these benefits.
Breaking: A federal appeals court just denied a last-minute bid by the Trump admin to temporarily halt some SNAP funding during the shutdown.
