My point, to be clear, is that I don't believe it ends with "Donald Trump is a child rapist" (which is both heinous in its own right and, as you say, pretty well evidenced in the public record as being AT LEAST quite likely).

I think it goes further, and is more depraved (if possible).

Donald Trump didn't just rape children.

Donald Trump wasn't just an associate/client of Epstein's trafficking.

Donald Trump is either the actual ringleader, or ran his own ring separate from Epstein and that caused the split.

Dictatorship does require some measure of public buy-in, though, which is why most dictators or would-be dictators use a carrot-and-stick approach to shore up their support before going full hog.

Trump and Republicans generally have no carrot, and have not from the start.
