Battlestation finally set up the way I like it. I can finally stop tinkering with everything (aside from buying a proper 2nd monitor stand

Like a complete asshole i got annoyed at my current desk setup like I do every other month except this time I've rationalised my way into replacing my 2nd monitor with a new one.

Basically I've given myself a job to do of dismantling and replanting my entire desk later this week. Fuck.

Decided to finally give caves of qud a proper try after flaming out last time. Got lost for like 5 days looking for what was eating a villages waterstalks, waged war against baboons who killed my pet, managed to commit atrocities in his name before succumbing to them myself.

This game is amazing.

Woke up from a nap to a message from a friend telling my that Sea Power are touring next April and will be playing here.

After beating Stalker i started Dredge. That was at about 8pm.

It is now 5.30am. I can't feel my entire ass and have made a terrible mistake.

Going to post little abridged reviews of all 43 games I've beaten so far this year so let's do this.

Finally finished Stalker 2. Excellent game, will sit on it a while before I give my final thoughts.

Now begins the time between games where I endlessly bounce between choices before I settle on something.

In the pipeline is starting the persona games, sonic frontiers, final fantasy and more.

The name generation system in Stalker 2 has been coming up with some absolute belters lately.

Between reading brave new world, a scanner darkly, do androids dream of electric sheep and now Dune, I have to say that the guys writing pre-1980s sci-fi were absolutely on one.

Back when the coke was pure, the weed was terrible and everything on the tv was shit.

In an effort to get through my steam backlog (of which the library is now 1300+ games) I set myself a goal this year to complete as many as I can. Currently at 42.

Have to say, actually beating games instead of endlessly scrolling my library is far more fun.

Might do an end of year retrospective.

You can tell that I finally beat Disco Elysium this year and had it change my life.

My Spotify wrapped is a bit of an oddity with Sea Power dominating artists and then Debussy dominating songs in the midst of stuff like the Ocean, Sermon and Devin Townsend. Surprised at no VOLA though.

As someone who typically can't handle "scary games" of any sort, I have honestly been loving Stalker 2 so far. Turns out facing down monsters with an assault rifle is easier than without.

The game is honestly a perfect mix of grounded post-soviet conflict misery and spooky creepy lunacy.

Once I burn myself out through my current Factorio binge I absolutely need to finish Shadow Generations but then I need to confront the crippling indecision of whats next.

Do I commit to something I've been meaning to play forever or endlessly scroll my steam library for days? Decisions decisions.

Hoping to pick up some follows this way. I'm into:

Video games
Heavy metal
Vinyl record collecting
Playing Guitar
Books (big WH40K fan)
Wrestling
Movies

Basically everything you'd expect a 30 something who was a weird outcast in school to be into.

Looking for accounts with the same interests.

Factorio is, in equal parts, the best game I've played in years and is ruining my life. In a week I have put 50 hours into it, while working a 40 hour a week job. I have spent about 20 of those hours thinking about what I was gonna get up to in the other 50. This shits gotta stop.
