The plan to route the Busway down Adams Road was defeated and with residents we successfully campaigned for this Cycle Street treatment, plus improved connections to the road. However, the Busway proposals are currently at public inquiry with some calling for reinstatement of the Adams Rd alignment.
camcycle.bsky.social
We welcome the changes being made to Adams Road (and helped ensure it was not part of the Busway route). However, we take your point that to be a true Cycle Street, the road should be filtered. The changes should still be transformational for cycling, but we'll monitor delivery and outcomes.

We think that a new active travel link from Girton to Histon & Impington would be transformative for local residents and help the whole area to thrive.

Momentum builds for new active travel route | HI HUB
A new active travel route between Girton and Histon & Impington could lead to a tenfold increase in the number of wheeling, cycling and walking journeys between the villages.

Joined the first #Cambridge @kidicalmass.bsky.social this morning and those still-a-little-wobbly yellow legs were grinning all the way around. Thanks to the organisers and the patient folks who let us take up the sunny streets for a bit. #kidsonbikes #kidicalmass

A new county council consultation has opened on the Windsor Road/Oxford Road junction.

Share your views before 16 October on proposed safety measures to slow traffic, make crossing the road easier for people walking, and allow for a widened pavement.

Thanks to everyone who joined us for another brilliant day at the Stourbridge Medieval Fair.

Discussion topics included the Chisholm Trail, cycle theft, potholes and the city centre, and our magazines and maps were very popular. We also love to meet guests dressed as people from a pre-bicycle era 😍

Do you remember Camcycle's Ring Fort Path petition, signed by over 400 Orchard Park residents in 2011? This year, the hard work & persistence of those working for a better link to Histon paid off – thanks to the councillors, officers & campaigners who made it happen 👏

It's time that politicians of all parties worked together on a holistic vision for cycling in Ely with a plan for how to achieve it. @sustrans.bsky.social feasibility study for East Cambs District Council looked at the broader city & included suggestions such as making parts of Lynn Road one-way.

Lynn Road, Ely: "Hopkins Homes will now seek to progress the application to not install a cycle route."

This is NOT the message we need to see in our region, where new developments should be improving facilities for people walking & cycling rather than adding additional pressures.
