Forgive the quote-post, but this idea comes up often enough that it makes sense for me to write a stand-alone thread on here that addresses this (probably) inaccurate extrapolation of cognitive load theory.

So... a lot of highly successful schools use Reading while Listening (RwL) - the teacher reads aloud while the students follow along, often using a ruler. But this is a clear example of the Split Attention effect - so who is right? readingforlearning.org/2025/02/01/r...

Entrada elaborada gracias a los libros que me manda David. Gracias. El feedback a toda la clase es una herramienta potente que a menudo subestimamos en el aula. En mis primeros años como docente, pensaba que el feedback efectivo debía ser individual, detallado y minucioso. Si bien ese enfoque tiene su lugar, como hemos desarrollado en entradas como esta, con el tiempo he aprendido que la retroalimentación dirigida a toda la clase puede ser una manera de regular la cantidad de trabajo, siguiendo el valioso principio de que "menos es más".
