Our first beetroots (bolthardy variety), Maris pipers, onion tops and a few too-young roscoffs, spinach, dill for drying in a low oven, Kelvedon wonder peas and gooseberries, raspberries and redcurrants from the fruit cage.

up Brampton Farmers Market today
Some great cheese (including a lovely goats cheddar
with an incredble aftertaste), a few herbs (including
chervil which can be hard to come by), a mix of gourmet
mushrooms and a chicken and haggis pie.
