The baguette is price capped at 2 euros in France, you are not allowed to charge more than that for them (generally though they're sold for 1.20, not even close to the cap)
What’s your favorite food fact that is true but sounds totally made up?

I’ll start: about half of the mushrooms produced across the United States of America each year (more than 300 million pounds of mushrooms in recent years) are produced in *one county* in Pennsylvania.

A grand little haul from my veggie patch and fruit cage today.
Our first beetroots (bolthardy variety), Maris pipers, onion tops and a few too-young roscoffs, spinach, dill for drying in a low oven, Kelvedon wonder peas and gooseberries, raspberries and redcurrants from the fruit cage.
