Blood test results from yesterday came back. Vampires offered me Thanks and invited me over for a snack… am gonna pass. (Results were all good, but protein was on the low-normal side. But mainly, LDL Cholesterol is 42, which is awesome, given I am on Repatha.)

Online friend @kithrup.bsky.social is a freaking saint for giving away books (that he bought and paid for) by authors he wants to support each and every day. It's a lot of work and quite a bit of money he's put into it for not much in return. He brings the joy of books to people every day.

Operating budget got slashed for the coming year. Might just take that job, if they offer it. The rampant lying here about the importance of our research is fundamentally flawed, when all they do is complain about the budget- which grows each year. Seems there’s insane BS being shoveled.

So… recent suicidal kid’s mom talks to spouse… reveals her teen has a history of manipulative behaviors, creating the illusion of intentional self harm & had therapy regarding similar interactions… 5 years ago. And lost friends over it.
