I have a dream that someday someone will donate a 2nd hand ultralight tanker. I will gather a merry band of greenie firefighters & we will spend our days driving around fire grounds, pouring water on the grand old trees that are burning.

As a CFA vol I agree that there is a strong campaign aligned with the Nats and Liberals operating from some local brigades which exists to hurt the ALP. The Emergency Services Levy campaign, run by Nat party activists & linked with anti renewables campaigns, is an obvious example.

Last summer, on another big fire in the high country, the incident controllers had the following priorities.
To protect:
-houses
-Indigenous cultural values
-fire damaged snow gum woodlands

Yep. Conservative Ideology is like a blindfold when it comes to seeing/ understanding climate science. But people not wedded to that ideology can see what's happening I reckon.
