If Donald Trump were any dumber, he'd be Eric Trump.

Q: Have you given any more thought to possibly suspending habeas corpus?

TRUMP: Suspending who?

Q: Habeas corpus

TRUMP: I don't know. I'd rather leave that to Kristi.

Sure, but keep in mind that Donald Trump will soon have a coin with his likeness on it, so that balances things out, right?

Brilliant.

Any bets on whether Tamara Lich's travel restrictions will include preventing her from being a special guest at the upcoming Rebel News birthday bash in Toronto?

Wherein Pierre Poilievre thinks happy thoughts about the people whose followers openly wanted to murder the Prime Minister.
mmorden.bsky.social
Pierre Poilievre posted this garbage yesterday on X ending with: “I wish Chris and Tamara a peaceful and happy life.”

I tell you what, their occupation and insurrection attempt in Ottawa was anything but peaceful or happy!

Anyone else noticed how "Pastor Art" Pawlowski isn't in the news that much anymore? I'm guessing they've milked that con man of pretty much all of his grift value.

"Siri, show me 'bad faith debating'."

BREAKING! Freedom Convoy organizers Tamara Lich and Chris Barber sentenced to house confinement, with exceptions of shopping, going to and from work, doctors, dentists, barbers and hairdressers, movies, eating out, going to gym and yoga classes, media interviews, and generally hanging with friends.

I never imagined I could think even less of the Ontario judiciary than I do already ... I was *so* wrong.
canadiancynic.bsky.social
There is zero chance that either Lich or Barber will abide by the conditions of their sentences, and no one will do anything about it.

I even predicted the community service.

All Carney is doing is giving Trump countless sound bites to use to his advantage. Carney is not playing 5-D chess; he is being a useful idiot.

U.S. President Donald Trump issues presidential pardons for both Barber and Lich in 3 ... 2 ... 1 ...

If people want to understand Rebel News' fundraising (and tax-deductible) collection arm "The Democracy Fund", I have written about TDF extensively at my blog over the years:

I don't have to imagine ... my shame is everlasting.

And there it is ... Ontario's legal system bends over and spreads for the organizers of the Freedom Convoy, which terrorized downtown Ottawa for three weeks.

So how's my prediction of the judge pretty much giving Chris Barber a meaningless sentence and a hot oil massage looking?
canadiancynic.bsky.social
As I literally just posted, while Rebel News is not a registered charity with the CRA, their money funneling associate, The Democracy Fund, *is* so registered, which is why all of these donations are "laundered" through the TDF -- to be able to issue charitable tax receipts.
canadiancynic.bsky.social
Who's live tweeting the Freedom Convoy sentencing, and doing it with proper threading?
canadiancynic.bsky.social
Rebel News is *not* a registered charity with the CRA -- they funnel donations through The Democracy Fund, which *is* (for no discernible reason) a registered charity, despite doing absolutely nothing to accomplish their CRA-registered purpose.

I would still like the Canada Revenue Agency to explain why donations to pay Tamara Lich's legal fees are tax deductible.
