I am watching The Rise of the Nazis on BBC Select. Terrifying, because I could just be watching the evening news and it would be the same. Both my parents were WWII vets, and the thought that it all may have been for nothing is enraging.

Why would anyone who took the military oath, obey a rogue leader who has no clue that their oath is sworn to the Constitution, NOT to him? They are not his possession to play with at will. They must know this. Am I just really that naive???

I am an aide in a 2nd grade classroom and we have just begun our unit on the Civil War, leading off with the story of Harriet Tubman as an intro to slavery. I can’t help but wonder how long we will be allowed to teach it.

True or false that it may be dangerous to leave the country and then try to return with a green card? I am increasingly nervous about driving up to Canada this summer to see family.

I work in a second grade classroom. Some kids have IEP’s. The district is economically depressed and so many of our kids depend on free lunch for their nutrition. This may be the last year we can teach real history. It is breaking my heart.
