I've been thinking for a bit about having an automatic single fare applied if you don't transfer (call it 3$ idk) in the 90-minute window, because I'm frequently only taking a single bus/train. would save me 2$ and I wouldn't feel rushed to get everything done and back on the ride home in 90 mins...

we cannot be appealing to the machine of capitalism just because it's comofortable or easy. if this country is going to thrive, it needs to forge a new path. we could build something that lives up to our historical reputation, but fast-tracking oil production and trampling Indigenous rights ain't it

I thought having had chicken pox mostly protected you from shingles actually so that's good to know! the varicella vaccine came out when I was 7-8 and I had it a year or two before, crazy to think about how it's pretty much fully preventable these days!
