We had a colleague last year who quit because we (as a school/org) couldn't just be normal about workload and stuff and so it just wasn't worth it. It was her first teaching job back from her mum-career-break.

Well done us, could've got another maths tchr back into classroom but we fucked it up

Art galleries and museums can be sombre, po faced places for earnest, cerebral contemplation. That is very ablist and joyless. I'm glad she enjoyed your outing and well done to her for her spontaneity and unintentional bid for inclusiveness.

I've made it a rule that they can't have water bottles on desks. Endlessly swigging away while I talk. Can't stand it. Then they all want to go to the toilet!
