Resolution Foundation laughably complains that a person with median income can't be in the highest decile.

"Alternatively Microsoft is offering a one-year extension to Windows 10 to give users time to assess alternatives."

Well, they are offering to SELL a year of security updates for ... ZERO pounds. Goody. Since the UK is in the European Economic Area (EEA), no reward points or backups required.

Yes, us Gen Xers are the WORST

"More than a third of those who are not planning to take action and therefore risk becoming vulnerable are people aged over 55."

hang on, so 2/3 of these terrible people are under 55? Like, exactly the same proportion as the general population?

NOT ANY MORE
The DfE has shuttered the Maths Scholarships scheme putting an end to the £31k scholarships that had previously been available.
This is a scandal, as it integrated ITT with support from the IMA, LMS, RSS, MEI, MA and STEM.

Owing to a continuity/QA failure, Pearson didn’t realise Papers 1 and 2 for 2025 had been closely modelled on the 2022 papers until Paper 1 was sat. They then withdrew Paper 2 and replaced it (though not the modified versions) with, probably, the Paper 2 intended for 2026, so not a perfect fit

Well, for a start, Economics is just silly. It's just some Maths that seems to have lost its way. And I know whereof I speak, I tutored a PPE student last year and the derivatives she was asked to do were nonsense.

We still don’t know, but they don’t have to tell us just because we asked. The measures they put in place were properly handled and so there is no scandal.

And of course, your reminder that the Conservatives in government enthusiastically approved every single one of the Sentencing Guidelines that they now claim are evidence of the far-right “two tier justice” myth.

Anyway, in his speech today, he says he’s going to sack judges whose judgements he disagrees with. And get rid of the independent sentencing council. Because heaven knows you want the government to control both the judiciary and sentencing rules.

Sorry, my mistake. It was reported in the Guardian yesterday, but both of these outrageous comments are from earlier in the year, the Birmingham one from March.

At least he's consistent

Robert Jenrick complained yesterday of ‘not seeing another white face’ in Birmingham neighbourhood. After highlighting the lack of white people, the shadow justice secretary said it was not about “the colour of your skin or your faith”.
