People don't usually mean it in this way, but Dragon Quest VII Reimagined might actually be the first ever remake that truly looks "soulless". Like if I have to point my finger on someone who has no soul, the MC here is exactly the reference I have in my head.

Why should I care about any announcement from The Game Awards this year when like four new games had any gameplay shown during the main show...
Have I spent an ungodly amount of time playing Old Republic games? Yes. Do I care about new game with zero gameplay to see? No.
Same with Divinity.

Wandering Sword is one of my favourite games of the last few years, it has some problems with things like UI and Controls, but other than that a very nice experience.

Played a few hours of Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 and honestly tech stuff aside it's a pretty decent game, especially if you don't expect it to be anything like the first one. It won't scratch the same itch as VTMB, but I think I'll enjoy it overall

Damn, I enjoyed the concept of El Ciclo back in the day, plus its design was heavily inspired by one of my favourite architects so this feels like a personal blow...

I'm already very pessimistic about the global adoption of Unreal Engine, as I think it's being used as a way to devalue the long-term employees of companies that previously worked with proprietary engines by making them easily replaceable, but the performance analysis videos certainly aren't helping

The only thing I like about wplace so far is that it exposed me to a huge number of Splatoon nerds that apparently live in my area.
Obviously there's also a chance that they just picked a random Ukrainian city in the middle of nowhere to draw their OCs in, and that's somehow even weirder...

Randomly picked up Caligula Effect 2 a few weeks ago and I'm so confused by how practically no one talks about this JRPG. Extremely unique combat, really progressive themes with a great cast of characters and amazing music. You would expect people to talk about it as much as they do with E33...

Still massively prefer Bluesky over Twitter, but god every time I open any big post on here the comments are always full of people with the worst case of "bean souping" and this just makes me not want to use it :/

Had to stop taking antidepressants without gradually decreasing the dose due to financial problems and now I feel like a baby that doesn't know how to walk, probably the worst case of vertigo and imbalance I ever experienced. I expected it to be bad, but not in this way lol

I genuinely feel like this might kill the game. Even Nintendo aren't going $80 for all of their games for now. The Outer Worlds 2 looks amazing from everything I've seen and I'm extremely excited about it, but I'm not sure if many people are willing to buy it at this price

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 at its concept feels a lot like a Monolith Soft game. Only a couple of hours in, but it really reminds me of Xenoblade Chronicles 3. The whole Gommage thing even sounds like something straight from that world. Really excited to see more of this game.

Oblivion Remaster is pretty good so far, feels like a huge graphical modpack you would see for Skyrim, bad UI and all.
There are some weird graphical problems (mostly with reflections), but overall it's a really nice upgrade and I hope it makes more people check out one of my favourite games.

Always had mixed feelings about Octopath games, they look nice and I see them being praised all the time, but for me character/companion interactions are one of the most important aspects in JRPGs and when it comes to this OT2 is nowhere near something like Chrono Trigger which is a shame..
Octopath Traveler II released two years ago.
Most might not agree with me, but I personally consider it on the same level as Final Fantasy VI and Chrono Trigger. It's a masterpiece.
It's one of my favorite games Square Enix games ever. I can't recommend it enough!
