In addition to this, one of the big manufacturers of RAM (Micron) is also apparently suspending direct to consumer sales which drives prices even more and the three manufacturers are essentially a cartel and appear to be price fixing the market.

Yep - global supply is being swallowed by these AI data centers and the big (or only) three manufacturers of RAM are essentially a cartel and fixing prices.
The 32gb (2x16Gb sticks) of RAM I paid £92 for 1 year ago now sells for £340... a 270% increase.
The AI bubble can't burst quick enough IMO.

TBQH I like commissioning smaller artists, while their work may not be as good as super popular artists, they are very grateful for the work, pay and increased traffic it can bring them.
I wish they got more attention.
