On July 4, 1997, the Animal Liberation Front freed 4000 mink from the David Smith Mink Farm in Cle Elum, Washington. The farm did not survive this action.

Reading Peter Singer's updated book, "Animal Liberation Now: The Definitive Classic Renewed." My process nowadays is to check sources much more carefully, so I looked up a few things (assertions or people mentioned) in the first half of the book. Dude has become quite controversial!

On November 16, 1995, the Western Wildlife Unit of the Animal Liberation Front freed 400 mink from the Jordan Mink Ranch outside of Olympia, Washington. Within a year the farm was closed permanently.
