im almost done with my first karin slaughter book (pieces of her) and idk its been a bit meh. ill probably have forgotten it in a year, but ive heard its not her usual type of story so maybe ill need to try another? recommend me something by her? #booksky

The comparison I've seen online is the balloon game at a carnival. Rich kids get as many darts as they want to pop a balloon and win the big prize. The middle class kids get a single dart and need good aim and/or luck. The working class and poor kids are the ones working the carnival.
Like being asked to roll a total of 12 with a handful of dice. The straight white rich cis able guy gets 6 dice. Still has to be a bit lucky, but it's much more likely than for someone less privileged holding 2 dice. And if you have only one d6? A win is only possible if someone changes the rules.

oh yeah btw i only have to pass the driving exam in a little under two weeks and then i'll have my driver's license. that's what i've been up to lately, hbu?
