However, one area that could still use some more work is the writing. Ultimately, I just don't think 8 episodes per season is enough to tell this story, especially when trying to cram so many different subplots and character arcs that may take a while to fully resolve.

The dude has been worshipping at the alter of Mary Shelley for his entire life, which is exactly why he made the changes that he made. You have to know the rules before you can break them, after all.
