no yeah. like. i’m not a purist about adaptations of anything but at a certain point it’s like well why not make an original period drama then (also i hope you enjoyed the book!)

i have been thinking about this again because in my personal opinion a casting of wuthering heights where heathcliff is a white man but edgar linton is played by an actor of color is the final boss of ‘representation’ as a framework
