this is my approach esp to art and it sucks sometimes bc i might REALLY dislike what i drew but putting it out there is both for me to remember I did it and for the people who might find it one day and really like it even if I dont

If they stick by you through the good & bad & ugly, if they put in the effort and they inspire you to put in the effort, if their actions to you say and reaffirm "you are important to me, I will show up for you, our friendship is important to me too", value those people.

They don't have to be perfect. Nobody is. But the people who make the effort, as much as they reasonably can, who consistently show you that you and your friendship MATTER, they're the people you need to value, because they've shown they value you.
