We’re winning so much I’m getting tired of it

This administration is totally fine with more Americans getting cancer from water contaminants if it means corporations and their wealthy friends might keep a penny or two more. Insane.

The #EPA is now the Exploitation & Profiteering Agency.

If you become a paid member of my channel you can watch this video early and get a sneak peak of the soon-to-open Honolulu Skyline extension to Kalihi Transit Center

YouTube thumbnail showing a population density map of Honolulu with the soon to be extended Skyline route over it. One of the HART trains is seen at the bottom left. The text reads “NEW EXTENSION.”

I have so many cool videos coming up that I’m so excited about making. My Honolulu video also will be out in a week!

I made a video about these kind of flights. While I’m sure the vast vast majority of people on them are just transiting through O’Hare, there are hundreds of flights per day in the US that are like this, and with good rail connections to the hubs these flights would be a lot less prevalent

Superliners on tonight’s Carl Sandburg to Chicago as a little treat
carfreekeith.bsky.social
Turns out the freight train pulled into the platform at Galesburg and had engine problems and couldn’t move lol at least it happened right by the BNSF yard so they could come fix it right away
carfreekeith.bsky.social
Tonight we sat for more than an hour less than half a mile from the Amtrak station I was getting off at waiting for a freight train to clear the platform. Frustrating how little regard the freight railroads have for peoples’ time

This probably isn’t a revolutionary new thought but it really does seem like that’s the point more than immigration enforcement. Inflict damage on thriving communities and hurt the cities that don’t bend the knee to him

Considering it was a battle to get Texas to spend less than $4mil to keep the Heartland Flyer alive, this makes me proud to be from Illinois

“South Shore had been a landing spot for many Venezuelans when tens of thousands of migrants were bused from the Southern border to Chicago and other Democrat-led cities.”

How traumatic for those poor people to be used as a political pawn not once, but twice. Absolutely awful.

“It felt like a war zone,” O’Loughlin said. “It feels like people don’t know the extent of what is happening unless it’s on Michigan Avenue.”

“They tore the whole building apart,” Szymanski said."
Armed Agents Raid South Shore Apartment Building Overnight Tuesday
The federal agents arrived in moving trucks and knocked down doors inside the apartment building, detaining as many as 40 people, witnesses said.

Biking through Little Village for critical mass the other day had the same vibe. Felt much quieter than usual. Makes me feel for the businesses

This makes me so fucking sad

It's sad to think that the family that was detained by ICE at Millenium Park on Sunday went because their daughter wanted to visit the park. Should have been an easy choice but now immigrants in Chicago feel they should stay away from parks and refrain from shopping. Disappearing from public life.

Two things of note, one, they were literally about to throw someone to the ground & potentially seriously hurt them based simply on the color of their skin, and two, how were they so comically bad at it

I’d love to see that too. Kinda sucks that most corners of that iconic intersection are all either banks or chain places

Just this Saturday, pretty abrupt

It’s so cool that this morning I got to take a mostly nuclear powered train that was built in Chicago to the country’s most connected airport. God I love Chicago

I spent $121 at Meet me on Milwaukee today. Really tried to build that financial case for pedestrianization

I hope a local coffee shop opens up in the now closed Starbucks at North/Milwauee/Damen. When I lived in New Orleans, Starbucks closed its Canal St location and a local shop opened in its place and it was 100x better.
