UPDATE: I obtained a copy of the firm-wide email and attachment that Brad Karp, the chairman of Paul Weiss, sent to employees on Thursday evening.

The documents detail the agreement Karp reached with the White House before Trump rescinded his executive order targeting the firm.

We want to share with you the fina! agreement between Paul, Weiss and the Administration - it is attached. The commitments reaffirmed today are consistent with Judge Simon H. Rifkind's 1963 "Statement of Firm Principles," which states, among other things, that "we believe in maintaining, by affirmative efforts, a membership of partners and associates reflecting a wide variety of religious, political, ethnic and social backgrounds," and that "through this policy we may bring to the service of our clients greater breadth of understanding and wider contacts with the world at large." Judge Rifkind's Statement of Firm Principles closes by saying that "we are committed to achieving our objectives without wearing any client's collar or any political party's livery. Lawyers abandon the profession's highest ideals when they engage in partisan decisionmaking and betray the ethical obligation to represent those who are unpopular or disfavored in a particular moment. 2.
