Agreed, a highly political decision, when so many of the perpetrators were absolutely explicit about their motivations in targeting (predominantly) white and Sikh girls.

Yet multiple pieces of evidence of racial and/or religious motivation in these crimes from victims, survivors, MPs, journalists, independent enquiries, even from those inside the police, seem to have been ignored - in direct contradiction to the MacPherson report. 3/3

The MacPherson report makes very clear that any suggestion of a racially motivated crime must be logged and the case investigated.
